Bashiok: У нас не так много умений, требующих определенного типа оружия. Монах, как исключение, имеет несколько специальных боевых умений для посохов(staff) и для кистевого оружия(fists), и мы надеемся, что игроки не будут учить их одновременно, так что будет побольше вариантов развития вашего персонажа. Умения варвара рассчитаны на то, что он будет использовать оружие ближнего боя(melee), что, наверное, происходит само собой, когда кто-то играет за варвара. У Знахаря(Witch doctor) и Волшебницы(Wizard) нет умений, которые были бы ориентированы на какое-либо оружие в принципе, но я уверен, вы всё равно захотите его “надеть”.
Основная идея при создании различий между тремя разными видами вооружения ближнего боя – это сделать все эти три вида жизнеспособными, но с ощутимыми различиями. Что касается выбора двуручного оружия или двух одноручных, можно сказать, что все сбалансировано и это будет исключительно ваш эстетический выбор. Если вы считаете, что бегать с огромным двуручником – это круто, то бегайте с ним, а если у вас два классных одноручных оружия – используйте их. Очевидно, это сводится к дополнительной настройке неких дополнений, таких как, если считать, что это одна вещь против двух.
Это как раз та идея, над которой мы работаем и балансируем сейчас. Использование щита – это второй жизнеспособный путь развития, с той разницей, что с использованием щита у вас повышается живучесть. Уменьшение урона должно быть точно скомпенсировано увеличенным шансом выжить, возможностью принять на себя больший риск и так далее.
